Vidhura is a brilliant character in the Mahabharat. He was a younger albeit illegitimate brother of Hastinapura King Dhrutarashtra born out of the union of Sage Vyasa and a maid of Amba and Ambalika through whom Vyasa fathered Dhrutarashtra and Pandu. Vidhura is said to be an avatar of Dharmadevata and was born in this world due to a curse.
Despite being an adviser to Dhrutarashtra , he was never afraid to give his opinions frankly
Some of his advices to the King has been collated as Vidhura Neeti Shataka and are reproduced in subsequent blogs. These advices are equally valid to day for us .
